Thanks Sue and I am glad you liked it. I have been having a few more adventures since, some of which I might try and include in the horticultural blogs.
An absolutely stunning garden yet with the accompanying story of Jim Thompson's disappearance I could not help but remember 'The Serpent', Charles Sobhraj.
Thanks Richard. I have since read that he was an early recruit to the CIA and also that his nephew mysteriously had allegedly killed himself shortly after the sister died so it's all quite mysterious.
Very interesting article on Jim Thompson’s garden, I just went on to read the many theories of his disappearance and his sisters murder, way too coincidental that neither were solved.
Truly a fascinating and mysterious case. It's unfortunate that the truth will likely never be known, but it's great that his garden and house have been preserved as a museum for people to visit!

The real Serpent has just been released from prison - for compassionate reasons apparently.... Fortunately he is not in Thailand.
Stunning pictures of some wonderful exotic plants, and very interesting tale of Jim Thompson's Bangkok garden and 1969 disappearance.

Very interesting and well written blog. Sounds an amazing experience. Love Cazz's Mum (Sue Ward)
